ION SPA FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1) Why salt is added into the water?
The salt can enhance the conductivity of the water.

2) Why does the water become dirty even the feet are not immersed into the unit?
The unit is controlled by micro computer chip system, when the two electrolysis plates of the unit oscillate, they generates countless of ions and energy. Tap water, salt and the plate themselves contain a lot of minerals and substances, and will produce dirty substances after oscillation.

3) Can we use ion spa device every day? And why only 30 minutes is allowed for each session?
No, we must not use it every day. This is because the conductivity will increase energy in our bodies. There should be a break as too much energy will be harmful to the body.

4) Is the ion spa device suitable for everyone?
It is not suitable for everyone, should you have the following problems please do not use it.
- Wearing pulse adjuster, metal or other electromagnetism devices.
- Show no response to muscle test or foot spa (no energy).
- People who periodically taking medicine.
- People who had undergone heart transplantation.
- People who periodically undertake medical or psychological therapy
- Person who have hypotension.
- Pregnant women.
- Legs with wounds (may soak the hands instead)
- Blood cancer patient
- People diagnosed with serious illness
- People suffering from fever

5) Will the ion spa device bring any side-effects?
No.

6) How long can the electrolysis plate be used? And why?
There are 2 versions of array (electrode) available and can be use around 80 times-150 times .This is due to the different static electricity and nature of the bodies, different water quality of the country.

7) What are proper ways of cleaning the electrolysis plates?
Please use hot water, bleach or cleaner to wash, disinfection is a must.

8) Is ion spa device free from leakage of electricity?
It is totally safe. Our ion spa (Ion Cleanse Foot Spa) device possesses SIRIM test certificate, international CE test certificate, CB test certificate and UL.

9) What do the 'A' and 'V' displayed on the unit stand for?
'V' stands for voltage - It serves as an indicator of the unit's temperature, when it is below 12 V, the unit will easily become hot.  'A' stands for ampere. It serves as an indicator of the conductivity and residue in the water. The best setting for 'V' is 12 – 18 and 'A' is 1. 7 - 2.10

10) Why 'A' must between 1.7 - 2.1 ?
Reasons: if 'A' is below 1.7, this means the conductivity is low, or energy low, thus it is not helpful to the therapy. If 'A' is above 2.1, this means the conductivity is too strong, and our bodies may not stand it.

11) Can a person suffering from skin allergy use it?
Mode 3 is used in this case. Select 1.2 - 1.6 for the ampere, if this does not work, please consult the doctor. Although the conductivity is low, it still works.

12) What is the feeling when using ion spa device?
Some do not feel anything, some may feel itchy. This may due to skin allergy or strong conductivity. Some may have the feeling of static shock; this is probably because they do not remove metallic objects on their bodies, or possessing a stronger static electricity.

13) How do we know that our bodies contain a lot of toxins?
E.g.: Pimples, patches, obesity, loose and coarse skin, inelasticity,  tiredness, indigestion, poor appetite, headache, dizziness, anxiety, nervous, slow response, weak resistibility, common cold, weak body, constipation, intestines and stomach problems, abdominal distension and pain, muscle ache, irascible, all these are the symptoms of existence of toxins.

14) What are ions?
There are two types of ions. Those carry positive charges are called cations; those carry negative charges are called anions. The size of an ion is about 1 micron or 1/ 1000 millimeters, which is unable to be seen even using microscope. The best proportion of ions in the body is 80 % anions and 20 % cations. It is also known as Yin Yang (+ve & -ve) balancing. 

15) When and where ions are found?
Ions are abundant at about 5am and are found in forests, sea side, mountain and waterfalls.

16) What are the advantages of cation ions to our bodies?
An excessive of cations will cause the degeneration of the cells. The instability of the electron balance inside and outside the cell membrane will cause the degeneration of the function of the cells. Active oxygen is produced by cations and the oxygen, an excessive of oxygen will incur many diseases. They are also called cations or the toxins.

17) What are the advantages of anions to our bodies?
Anions eliminate the disadvantages brought by the cations. They are capable of enhancing the function of the body. Strengthening the immunity system of the body and enhance blood circulation.

18) Why warm water is recommended?
Warm water helps open the pores of the skin and easily absorb the ions and energy generated by oscillation that has taken place in the water.

19) What food is recommended to supplement the body after the therapy?
Drink more plain water and take nutritious food. These are needed by the newly activated cells in our bodies.

20) Only legs are allowed to immerse into the water?
Besides from the legs, hands and even the whole body can be immersed into the water.

21) How many mode settings are there available in the unit?
There are five different modes.

22) What are the differences of the modes?
The First and second modes are determined only by specific personnel or doctors, the rest are meant for normal usage. Mode 5 is the strongest, mode 4 moderate, mode 3 normal. For further details please refer to the manual.

23) What else can I expect from an Ion Spa session?
Many colors and objects appear in the water during the session. There is a reaction between the toxins and particles in the water, the salt added to the water, the metals in the array, and the acidity or alkalinity of the person being bathed. All of these combine to produce color, whether or not feet are in the water. The basic color produced by these reactions varies from one geographic area to another.
Some people may be skeptical about the color effect, but many have reported health and well being improvement. We have never claimed that the machine can cure sickness. We always emphasize that it is the value of this technology and what it can do to facilitate improvement in human health and the immune system.

24) What are the feelings after the therapy?
The results may vary to every individual. Some may feel refresh and more energetic, less joint pain or on the contrary will feel sleepy, uncomfortable, tired, weak etc. Other symptoms may be itchiness on the skin which will go off later or a sudden slight bearable pain on side of the body or headache indicating problem in that side or part. Symptoms are good as it is a natural way for the body to let us know that something is not balance or right inside us and that action needed to be taken to correct it. This called scanning. Not everyone will experience the same thing or symptom. This indicates that the ion spa machine did not create the problem but it is our body itself indicating to us so.
Due to the life style, drugs, off counter medication and the taking of painkiller etc, symptoms may be suppressed and we may not know that we are carrying a chronic disease or illness. Before we might think it is a minor problem and ignores the little symptom but it could the tip of the iceberg (of a serious nature).

25) Can a woman use the unit when she is menstruating?
Sure, it is not harmful to them.

26) Can a newly having childbirth woman use it?
A newly having childbirth woman can only use it after 1 month. She may be too weak to use the unit immediately after childbirth.
